Breakfast was also very filling and very very good. This was the perfect place to stay if you want quiet, privacy, and to simply relax. They also have free internet and cable with a ton of channels.
They have a nice little bar area with liquor, beer, and wine and you can note down what you've had.
My room was awesome and being hot natured I was thrilled to see I had my own thermostat and it actually worked!! (I have stayed at a few places that have thermostats but the room never cools). I had also forgot my fan and I was provided one for my 3 night stay.
Had to visit Clinton NC to teach a class and lucky for me the Ashford in came up on the booking site!! Compared to the hotel options and pricing it's a easy choice. I arrived and was greeted at the door. A quick tour and I was given my room key and I had the house to myself for a while.
We returned to the Ashford Inn for our third stay and were treated to a sparkling clean room, wonderful ambiance and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Julie, the host, went out of her way to make sure were comfortable and had everything we needed including a cold beverage after a long day of travel. We are looking forward to our next stay at The Ashford Inn!

Everything about The Ashford Inn was above and beyond my expectations. I stayed one night while in town to photograph a wedding and only wish I could have spent more time at The Ashford Inn! The owner, Julie, was so kind to work with me on a later check in time, then gave me a full tour of the house and even poured me a glass of wine before I retired to my room for the night. The room itself was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was WAY beyond my expectations (especially for the price of the stay!). Julie had a plethora of fresh coffee and cream (served in the cutest china cup and saucer), egg souffle, roasted peaches and 'fiesta grits'. I don't even like grits all that much and I thought everything was delicious. Don't hesitate to stay here, it was absolutely amazing!
This was a lovely few days and nights while I worked in the area. Julie was very accommodating and she was lovely host. I would not consider staying anywhere else if I was in the area again.
